In my wire work I strive for Amplification through Simplification, the concept that through distilling a portrait down to its essential characteristics, I can draw out something that’s truly them.

Modern and contemporary art, street art, manga, comics, and more influence my practice - I’m influenced as much by Barry McGee as Matisse, by Parra as Picasso.

My freestanding works are best placed near a wall with a neutral background, to better capture the idea of drawing in air.
