THE SECRET, 2022 welded wall art wire sculpture

In my wire work I strive for Amplification through Simplification, as described by the comic theorist Scott McCloud.

Drawing from mid century modern and the feeling of Matisse and Spansberg, I combine aesthetic investigation with the feeling and flow of Barry McGee and Parra. Modern and contemporary art, street art, manga, comics, and more influence my practice.

Vaulted off the wall, THE SECRET casts a shadow drawing across the wall, further activating the space. 1/4" hot rolled steel, torch bent and welded by hand by me right here in Los Angeles. Acrylic finish.

Comes with signed CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY

Mounting is two screw points, put into drywall anchors.
